I genuinely wonder just how high his ceiling is. Pep will have a view given his relationship with the young Messi. At 20, Messi was a regular for Barca he had 40 appearances and 16 goals. The next season and beyond his stats just exploded. Phil is currently on 44 and should continue to develop and improve over the next couple of years. It will be interesting to see just how good he can become.
Look how quickly he has gone from breakthrough to being one of the top three attacking players in the team.
He is a sponge but respectfully, he has stuff in his armoury that those three players don't so if he can stay humble, fit and continue his current trajectory he has the potential to eclipse each of them.Imagine how much he could learn from Messi in a couple of years as well. Someone who knows how to beat all the roadblocks teams are going to put infront of Foden and can show him how to get around him without having to figure it out on his own.
@twosips always talks about how you can see bits of Silva, bits of KDB, bits of Sané in Foden's game because he's just like a sponge soaking up all that experience and football intelligence. Imagine putting that next to the most gifted player of all time.
