Were ever Mr P askes him to play he will die for the club playing there. Same as most of us if we had 1 tenth of his talent.

Dropped back excellently and was able to influence the game, something he's struggled with in the false 9 role

I thought he was fairly inconsistent (and sometimes poor) in December/Jan, but the past couple of matches he's played very well. He didn't get the goals today, but was a constant threat the whole game and seemed to be working hard.

It'll be KDB that rightfully gets the credit for the second goal, but Phil's skill there was filthy.

Will always be wasted in that position, he's our most talented player, he has to be played in a position that let's him shine, and that will never be as the false 9. Having said that, he put in one hell of a shift today, no slight on the others but you could see it just meant a bit more to him. Caused countless turnovers, used the ball well, constantly dangerous, maguire shat his pants every time those 2 and the ball were in close proximity, outrageous skill for the second that deserved finishing.
He won't be playing there next season because we'll have a natural striker.
But he is such a talent and has played in different positions that Pep knows he can play him anywhere right now and he can influence any game.

He is on the way to being the complete player and is going to be a superstar!

His technical ability is there for all to see eg with the little dink over Lindelof in the build up to the second goal. But his workrate and pressing was phenomenal today.

I thought he was superb today, and played his heart out. His work rate was phenomenal and he almost won a penalty when slabhead dragged him down. He then made a brilliant run leading to our second goal.

Overall he gave everything. We can’t ask much more than that in a derby.

When you witness a 21 year old local lad leading by example in a derby game , it makes you beam with pride , i was so deflated when Paul Lake's career ended prematurely but watching Phil go from strength to strength is some compensation
Phil Foden pride in the shirt and a truly remarkable footballer
Fine words
