Peps not going to play him and KDB in midfield
He's been good since that post but he was underwhelming at the start of the season and much of last.Hahaha
The answer is Foden RW.People saying he's not a winger but he's the best we have. You really want to see Jack (who I like) and Mahrez starting the big games with Phil in MF? At who's expense does Phil play MF? KDB, Bernardo, Gundogan? Coz 2 of those have to sit it out if Phil plays central, and don't say they can play on the wing, because they ain't wingers either.
I agree, Grealish, Haaland and Foden is our best front 3, the boss see's it a bit differently though. People calling for Phil to play centrally now, haven't really thought it through, as to who plays wide, and who the MF 3 would be.The answer is Foden RW.
As a LW Foden has to hug the touchline and it is really just a "winger". It limits his space.
But as a RW Foden can roam inside the middle of the park and interchange positions with KDB often which means we have 2 right wingers and 2 right midfielders at the same time. That is actually some best parts of our last run of games but strangely today Pep dropped the plan...
Originally when Grealish was closed to sign for City some said that Foden actually was the key part to convince him to join in England camp because they had very natural bonding and also Grealish could "release" Foden from left winger role to roam more centrally. (Sterling was out of form at the time).

I wouldn't have Mahrez any where near the starting 11 until he stops breast feeding.Rodri
Bernardo- Foden
Mahrez/Palmer Haaland Grealish/Alvarez
