So is he training or completely frozen out at the moment? Pep said he should be fit to face Spurs and then he wasn't in the squad...

Young talented slightly thick sportsman suddenly becomes rich, famous and has one and all wanting to become his friend, what could possibly go wrong?

He just needs strong people around him , keeping him on the straight and narrow, he does not have to be a saint just wise and discrete.

Something seems to have gone wrong somewhere along the road for him recently, and he needs to get back on track ASAP.

In three or four years, he'll either be a superstar or making up numbers at a club like Leeds.

My money would be on him being at Leeds

Based upon a specfic or just opinion ?

Just opinion.

As with most good young English players, he's been elevated to unrealistic/unreasonable levels by the media.

He's got the talent and he's in the right place to develop, but as we've seen with many young players in the past, it doesn't take much to knock them off the right track.

I don't think he's the brightest button in the sewing box, and we've already seen him making a fool of himself on England duty with his mate. If he's learned from that, he'll be OK, but I can't help thinking it's going to be hard keeping him away from bad company once Pep leaves.

It was removed from here yesterday what is actually going on . Nothing else to add .

It's certainly a crucial 12 months for him, and I have to say the signs look worrying, the Iceland incident was a huge red flag,

Be a real shame if he pisses all his talent and promise down the drain.

From the looks of things there seems to be an abundance of personal issues going on behind the scenes, and we can only hope he can get his head right again and start producing on the pitch. It's been a complete waste of a season for him, barring a few good games at the start, and for a player of Phil's talent, that just shouldn't be the case.

I think it does bring about a bigger issue about handing these young english lads exorbitant contracts, 4/5/6 times what they were previously on. Some of them just don't seem intelligent or wise enough to be able to handle that kind of money, fame and the responsibility that comes with it.

Good to see him in training. Will be interesting to see if he starts at the weekend. I'd guess not.
