Agreed, plus there seemed to be a bobble, the fact that it was his first start in weeks and he looked close to his old self, I'm more than happy. KDB was much much worse imho, but appears to be immune to criticism, whereas Phil is now getting slated.
keV has been getting pelters, so not sure why you think otherwise

Apart from the 1 on 1 which he royally messed up, I thought Foden looked really lively and had a good game. Certainly he looked like his old self which was good to see and hopefully a lot more to come.

City might lose the Premier League title at the end of the season just because he didn't make a very simple pass to Haaland today. And this is not the first time he chose to ignore Haaland when the Norwegian was clearly in a better position.

The overreaction on here is ridiculous. Haaland, Rodri and Laporte had open nets… they didn’t score either. It happens

I think Phil had a good game overall. People will focus on the 1 on 1 but over than that he generally played well. Just the odd mistake in the final third/bit of luck but other than that his overall play was decent.

He had a good game in overall and in comparison to his recent form. But, he contributed to the final result. That chance could have been aneasy goal if he passed the ball to Haland.

The way Haaland played it wasn't an easy goal

Is a big issue for Foden more than others but Haaland was as guilty as any if not more yesterday

Why? Maharez had been more consistent this season.
Mahrez was terrible at the start of the season. He only played well twice (Southampton h, Brighton h) before the World Cup and everyone was saying how much of a terrible idea it was to give him a new contract.

He came back after the Summer out of shape and any game he started he was blowing out of his arse and did sod all. He only scored one Prem goal and got no Prem assists before the WC.

Foden was brilliant at the start of the season and had a poor Winter. He was very good for a first game back from injury yesterday, apart from that daft moment.

There’s so much revisionism goes on in these player threads, it’s ridiculous.

The way Haaland played yesterday there was as much chance of him skying it or diving than scoring.

Foden was our most dangerous player for large parts of the game, his zip and tenacity were in full flow and even Forest efforts to double up on him were proving fruitless.
The obvious thing that let him down was final ball/decision making.....but that does appear to be a team thing, something all are guilty of,rather than an individual issue - if there are two choices,we generally make the wrong one.

It was very encouraging to see him play so well,he will be a big plus in the latter parts of this crazy season.

His performance summed up the teams. Played really well and looked almost back to the best - but fucked up with the scoring.

Played well yesterday for the most part

FWIW I think he got caught in two minds with the run through on goal....he hesitated and then messed it up.....it looked like in the end he tried to pass to Haaland but got it completely wrong.....could put it down to a lack of match sharpness as well but it was just a mistake and his ovrall game play was decent.....

Looked good to me. Unlucky with the pass to haaland - he was clearly looking to play it and play to right, but just lost balance. Just lacking that little bit of match sharpness cost him I think
