For two or three years I have been purring about the way Mahrez brings a 40 yard pass under his control in an instant.

Phil yesterday was as good as anything I've seen Mahrez do, and that's a very high bar.

Agree Mahrez is brilliant at that aswell. Not many PL can do it routinely tho.

Think the Grealish - Haaland - Foden is our best front three.

The problem is where does Mahrez come in..hes our best player in the champions league and the one that steps up the most.

I'd be perfectly happy if Mahrez played CL away games and Phil came in for the return legs/second half.

If so, it's pretty concerning that it's still lingering.

Grealish Haaland Foden for PL. Mahrez comes in for one of Foden/Grealish in CL games. Rotation and keeps them relatively happy. Easy :)

There's always the option of playing Foden on the left in some games. Grealish can't start every single game and if we want to chase down Arsenal we're going to need all three of them.

Slow start with a couple of bad turnovers but I still thought he was lively and was harsh to pull him.

I said it in the match thread but a huge majority of our fanbase peddling this 'Foden doesn't pass to Haaland' crap clearly has an impact. He had no business passing that chance in the first half but almost immediately tried to get it across the box to Haaland instead of letting it rip.

He did Ok , needlessly lost possession a few times but also made some dangerous darting runs where the final ball was poor , he got clattered twice in the first five minutes and their full back was at it all the game , the referee was another prick who had left his cards at home.
Our players need mote protection or we are going to suffer a bad injury in comparsion every time we breathed on a Palace player he couldnt wait to get his whistle out , blatantly obvious what is happening , we will have to win the league despite PGMOL and the Premier league hierarchy

Mitchell did a really good job on him. Pain in the arse to play against.

Not sure if Pep's trying to keep him fresh and avoid risking flaring up his injury again.

Yeah,couple of occasions he overplayed and got muscled off the ball.Neville couldn't wait to tell us how bad he was,which was comical in itself considering he watches Sancho,McTominay and Co, week in/week out.

100%, Foden is not yet back at his level but even so has to be in the eleven, he has so much quality it's outrageous.

Just the 1. The shot off the post doesn’t count as an assist, nor does the deflected cross and palm out from the keeper.

In reality, it should be.
