Your first sentence screams don't bother with this poster such is its nonsense and irrelevance to what I have posted.

So I'm not going to.

I don't think you can blame Southgate for Phil's performances. It's up to him. Stick Messi anywhere on the park and he's the best player. Phil drifted centrally and lost the ball and we were countered. He's a brilliant player but he just couldn't get involved enough. That's not just on him. He did suffer from Maguire and Shaw failing to use him. They saw him under pressure and didn't give him the ball, when he'll take it all day when surrounded. The other side Walker and Stones used Saka and Henderson played off him to support him well. Saka also benefitted from the fact that Mbappe doesn't defend. Dembele was doing a better job on the right.

KDB was one of the best players in the last World Cup with an awful manager, he was one of the best players in the 2014 World Cup with an even more awful manager.

Gundogan ran the games for Germany, he didn’t struggle at all, in fact they were doing well until he went off in most games.

Bernardo didn’t struggle with Portugal. Cancelo struggled as much as he has at City recently.

Grealish made himself worth £100m without ever seeing a good manager.
I like Jack but he’s Never been “worth 100m”. City may have paid that, but his worth was and remains significantly south of that. I think there were other factors at play (in addition to his buy out) with that transfer.

Its up to him you say then go on to say the reasons that are out of his control why it wasn't. Bizarre and plain stupid to compare him with Messi as he isn't shunted on to the left touchline by the manager and doesnt take to the pitch with the same players. He lost the ball once ? Really? well that never happens to everyone at some point does it?

Thanks for the laugh though I am fond of an illogical contradictory post from time to time.

Have you thought about emailing Southgate if are fond of illogical responses ?

Just sayin

He had Shaw constantly stood right next to him bringing in defenders. Plus Shaw would not release the ball to him at all, instead choosing to bring it forward so Phil had nowhere to go. He's used to city players trusting their technique to play the ball in tight spaces but Shaw wouldnt and just crowded him out.
Same with Saka and Henderson, once Saka came more central second half against France he was dangerous cos he had space cos Henderson wasnt stood next to him.

SG should sub Foden off first by either Grealish or Rashford depending on if he wants to counter attack or attack from the front. And keep Saka if Saka can carry on. He made the wrong call.

Blame culture has also fit football.

KDB had a terrible WC, he is one of the worlds finest players, his poor performance's had little to do with the manager, he simply did not want to be there.

Foden was given huge public backing to be in the England team, Southgate gave him his chance and he did well, without ever playing at his best.

Grealish a couple of little cameos off the bench nothing more.

Walker ,Stones, Ake, Alvarez, Bernardo were superb, Cancelo very poor.
