No, he’s not a yaya which runs through the midfield, he’s not a creator and he’s not a winger who goes passed people….I know what he should be which is a creator, but he just isn’t.

Sure he’s had decent goals and some good moments but, off the top of my head, I’ve never once seen him come away with a motm performance.

I want to gush about him but I have to be honest and I think we big him up because he’s English and one of our own.
If he played for trafford FC then I’d be saying he’s another Welbeck or Rashford - ie well over rated.

Blame culture has also fit football.

KDB had a terrible WC, he is one of the worlds finest players, his poor performance's had little to do with the manager, he simply did not want to be there.

Foden was given huge public backing to be in the England team, Southgate gave him his chance and he did well, without ever playing at his best.

Grealish a couple of little cameos off the bench nothing more.

Walker ,Stones, Ake, Alvarez, Bernardo were superb, Cancelo very poor.

KDB was as bad as I have ever seen him in this tournament.

Foden is our second most valuable player to Haaland. And there's a good reason for that. But you can't see it : /

No I said it wasn't Southgate's fault that Phil was poor. Shunted on the left? Like when he plays for City? Rather than played as a no.10 where he never plays for City. We've got better players than England, but nothing I've seen from Phil suggests he'd be any good in that role for England. As I said, he popped into that space and gave it away. Compare him to Griezmann if you want? He popped up on the left and created the winner. You can make excuses but Phil wasn't good enough in that game. He has all the talent in the world but he needs to kick on now if he's going to be the player we all hoped he would be.

The manager isn't responsible for the players picked, where they play and how much freedom they have?

Anyway, each to their own but, for me, he's still one of the first on the teamsheet for me EVERY time we put the "A" team out.

OK... Maybe welbeck is a bit far but he's a player that looks OK in our system.
I always think a true world beater makes a poor team look good.

If you put Phil into the Villa side then he would look ordinary.
