Better from Phil against Bournemouth , but he still plays too many negative passes , lost count how many times he played the ball back to Akanji in the first twenty minutes , hopefully the goal and assist will help his percieved lack of confidence.
We know Pep loves his possession football and maybe Phil is playing to orders , but he needs to be let of the leash there are few better naturally talented footballers than this lad.

I think part of it is playing to peps instructions and the other being Bournemouth had 11 players behind the ball

He actually made plenty of forward passes and played very positively

Not as good as last Saturday imo. Worked hard though and hopefully he will be back to his best soon.
No I think that his form is improved from last Saturday.

Last week Pep put KDB and Walker along his side and gave a lot of support runs to him. A classic Pep way to support a player coming back from injury.

Today he is the senior one on the right hand side and most of the time his judgement and decisions are right. Maybe one or two times a bit sloppy or hesitation but overall good.
