Once again I think the criticism of him is way OTT

It probably stems from the notion that he was meant to be a special talent. When the reality is he's not. He's a good technical premier league winger with no truely outstanding attributes.
He doesn't score a lot
He doesn't assist a lot
He doesn't dribble past his fullback constantly and make things happen
He doesn't run his socks off for the team
He can't dictate the tempo of a game
He's not rapid
He doesn't have the vision to pick out passes others don't see

None of the above is drasitcally going to change either. He's likely one of those players that have reached their peak early and people are frustrated with what they believe he could be rather than accepting this is simply just what he's actually capable of.

It’s all about opinions and in my opinion you are wrong. He’s a wonderful player. Poor game today definitely. His balance on the ball is quite superb, he’s still very young.

He does run his socks off.

I also think he has room to develop more at his age; we’re not talking about Dele Alli case here.

2 years ago i consistently posted he was the best player on the pitch (even with Kev on). Last year i said it less. This year i've never said it and it doesn't look like i will at this rate. Needs a rest/something to change big time.

Good job Pep sees things differently from you.

Nobody needs to overreact here: he has been the best young player in Europe for three to four years, along with Erling. The beginning of the season is no time to judge a player and we would be wise to let the season run before a player's dip in form becomes an opinion on their ability.

Think he is hamstrung by playing out left, today he turned into prime Mahrez everything was sideways or backwards! Unfortunately he’s not going to get time in the middle whilst we have Gundogan, KDB and Bernie ahead of him. Hes obviously following Peps orders but him going past people etc has disappeared, today he should’ve shot and decided to pass to Haaland like he’s almkst frightened of pissing Pep off. Last week when he dropped to almost Left back he had more space and thrived, left wing is not for him.

No need to be a sane man on this part of forum, you will only look really silly on here.
