Much better in the 2nd half.

Alvarez and Gundogan meant there were players around him to pass and run off to.

Played a lot better after our first goal, looked like he was just about to get subbed before the goal went in, played a lot better more in the middle with alverez outside him, maybe a lot of his recent "problems" have been that he is wasted on the wing and is suffering with confidence because of it? Better today though

Seems to have ensconced himself in a shell of safe passes and his dribbling isnt close to what it was/can be. Confidence seems really low. Needs a good game or 2 to hopefully get back on track, 2nd half was better and was a lovely cross.

Shit first half? I thought he was our best player in the first half along with Mahrez, albeit not saying much. Worked his absolute tail off in the second. Brilliant player.

Decent game today. More of this please

Whole side was ineffective first half, easy to blame the forward players because that's where we expect invention to come from but the problem was getting the balls to them quickly in the correct area with movement around them, can't do anything otherwise. Good second half, crucial assist, can be a lot better but still without doubt the best option we have out wide.

Totally agree, he did very little wrong first half whilst most of the team was poor. The current narrative is to question him though. 2nd half whilst not stuck out wide though he was pure class.

Great assist. I think he's doing fine considering it's the start of the season and a lot of players appear to be just getting going. He's obviously not on top form by his high standards but he's still contributing and doing his bit. Might just be about showing a bit of patience, but could be interesting to see what Pep does with him when grealish is back (in regards to what position he plays)

Grew in influence yesterday. As some have said better in second half when he had more freedom.
Still needs to learn how to walk into space as David Silva did before he gets a chance in midfield.
Think it will happen.

Lots of praise for his 2nd half performance and assist. I thought his ball for the 1st Haaland tight-angle shot was a thing of beauty and more players culpable than him.

Overall a good game for me and his increasing tactical flexibility will be a big boon this season with our small squad.

I think he'll get Zinny's role.. Left Back/ left wing back/ left winger.

And looking by the last game vs Crystal Palace he seemed to do it really really well.
