More like it Phil.

He has all the talent in the world. Hope he gets extended run in that position.

Maturing nicely and making it harder and harder to shuffle him off to the wing!

We’ve been gagging for someone who can carry the ball through the middle and shoot, and look who showed up!!!

With the addition of Nunes, and the way we have been utilizing Kovacic, we now have players who can pick up the ball in midfield and drive forward at pace. That’s something we have been lacking, causing us to be forced to shuffle the ball wide.

Everton is his best game for some time and, while the goal was special, the late one that hit the post would have been ever more special!

I hope he can stay fit, because his lower legs and feet get hammered on a regular basis, and he’s not the biggest or strongest lad on the pitch.

That left peg is sweet as a nut, and now his head is putting it to very good use.

Once upon a time we had a cavalier forward line that overwhelmed sides with movement ,pace and goals. Now we have to pass backwards, sideways endlessly until someone like Phil breaks out of the group coma and actually has a go at goal.

Yeah man, I still remember the likes of Vassell, Jo and Caicedo terrifying defences.

Doesnt get the credit he deserves from our Rag / Dippers controlled media , the best English creative midfielder for decades and he is only going to improve , he tore Everton apart.
Think most acknowledge the talent. Watched the match again and Shearer didn’t stop raving about him. Chuckle and Carragher have said in the past England should be built around him.

He’s 23 though and has certainly stagnated for 18 months. Yes the England manager is a negative clown but Bellingham has emerged and has really shone. The talent has never been in question with Phil it’s up to him to show it regularly. His problem is KDB is back soon and even with him out Pep chose to play Alvarez in Foden’s best position. He’ll be back out wide for City soon and we only tend to see glimpses of his brilliance when out wide.

With Bernardo regularly playing wide right and wandering when needed, there is a place for Foden in midfield. The problem with KDB is that Foden likes that RM role to enable him to float inside on his left, whereas KDB likes it to whip right footed balls into the striker(s).

However, with our level of movement and interchange, we have to find away for KDB, Bernardo & Foden to be on the field at the same time!

Took the game by the scruff and helped get us the win. Need that consistently from him. He is an absolute joy to watch.
