47 | Phil Foden - 2024/25

It’s not about grabbing the headlines. Phil is now 24 years old. He’s been around for a while and on the international scene for a while too. It would be good if, every now and again, he just takes the match by the scruff of the neck so to speak. He definitely has the qualities to do it.
I dont think the manager sets him up to do that , lets be honest whatever he does he gets blamed if the team dont play well, thankless task

I said it last night become a right greedy **** and fuck the rest of them.
I agree completely. There was a moment the other night where he got the ball on the right, took it into the box and it looked as though a shot was on, from a similar position he's scored from for us many times, but instead he passed. Just be greedy Phil. Bellingham has proven that it doesn't matter how shite your overall play is as long as you do something in a game.

Phil needs a big moment for England, a big goal at a crucial time in a game, similar to what we've had from Bellingham, Palmer, Saka and Watkins in recent months. It would do his confidence the world of good and could really ignite his international career.

Who blames him?
Exactly and I would think Foden is more upset than anyone that he does not perform in an England shirt.

Maybe just maybe his motivation in our shirt is far greater than for his country.

It's a strange one with Phil for England. When watching Jack playing in the middle against Ireland, he had a fine game, but nobody would be calling for Jack playing in front of Phil for City but that's what people are saying for England. I think Phil should definitely become more selfish playing for England and show them what he can do.

Usually itv pundits and some media
Ah, cobblers to those Kaz. They’re the ones who don’t highlight Alexander Arnold’s lack of defending, or Bellingham’s big ego, even though I like him.

Palmer will score a goal or two in that ten role then at least for our sake Foden will play less game time for England

Not here for flak, but I don't think Phil has played well for england at all really. Yes the system is inferior, but I feel like he's standing around waiting for England to play like City which is never gonna happen unless Pep becomes england manager. Maybe there's the odd game he's done well but he's nearing 50 caps and he's pretty much looked lost and ineffective in 3 quarters of those games maybe more. He won't get much longer to improve with palmer performing at the level he is and I'm not even sure that he should tbh.
