There was a point in the second half where I was convinced i'd missed a sub as I hadn't heard his name mentioned for such a long time.

When the team plays well he is excellent but he is going missing as soon as something goes wrong for us. The likes of Bernardo, Kovacic, Grealish, Savinho and Gundo are not difference makers right now. Phil was the biggest difference maker in the league last season, he has lost that this season. Doing good things when we're playing well but then hiding when we're not is not what we need from him right now.

Last season it felt like he discovered how to win games for us on his own. This season he seems to have forgotten.

Can't help feeling that Phil's loss of form this season wouldn't be such a huge event if we'd kept Palmer now in hindsight.
We've made lots of money cashing in on players but not bought quality backup

Maddison shown him how to play in a central role, what a shame City never went for him.
Maddison is a very good footballer but at 28 still struggles to hold down a regular spot in a very average Spurs side. Hardly what we should be aspiring to as the heir the KDB throne.

The most difficult thing in football is consistency, both for teams and players. To play many years at top top level. It takes mental strength, a special character to do it.

Nowhere to be seen again. He'll turn up when it's going well, hides too often when it's not.

He has the talent to do it but he hasn't got the bollocks to grab a game by the throat and dominate it. It's purely a mentality problem and one he shouldnt still have at 24 and approaching 300 appearances.

last season we thought he was on the cusp of finally doing it, we've been waiting for that to happen for 7 years now, and expected this season to really see it yet hes regressed. He's not 17 anymore, time to fucking turn up when the team needs it.

That's what the world class do on a regular basis. That is what kdb has done for a decade, he's still out there like the talented kid invited to play with the big boys who is playing within himself and is too afraid to show what he can really do.

Should be getting on the ball and forcing things through. Like Kev did in the 10 minutes he was on.

Foden should be THE MAIN MAN in situations like today and not just another of the attackers on the pitch.

Forgot he was on at one point.

Love Phil but he went missing. God we need the goals of last year.

Sidenote, I was told that Foden is the most physical of our midfielders (outside of Rodri) and it remains one of the funniest things I've heard. We have a low bar for midfield physicality but Phil aint it

Needs a few weeks watching from the bench , he’s still got all the skills and touches but he’s lost the fire and drive he had last season

Has to get more involved drop deeper to pick the ball up and he has to run more close down quicker! Alvarez and Bob are players who close teams down so so well

Shame at 28 he has done next to nought apart from occasionally performance like today and against Ipswich was a bag of shite when the pressure is on and expectations are high! A total shithouse player

An odd good game or two and yet he doesn’t always get in spurs first eleven. Please don’t make him out to be Messi unlike Neville was trying to.
