Top post mate.I am one of those who had written Stones off because of his "off-field issues" but I am delighted he is proving me wrong. What an asset he would be if he can get back to his 2017/18 level.
He is easily our best defender at playing the ball out of defence and we have really missed him in the last 18 months. He is key to the midfield getting the ball quickly and that has been a major problem for us. I also think Stones moving out quickly has freed up Gundogan to play further forward where he is a lot more effective.
If you watch Stones he plays a lot of straight passes at pace, expecially to KDB. You don't often see him playing sideways. Sometimes a small change makes a huge difference. I think Stones has a big positive effect on our tempo.
