The man is full of confidence and the summer must’ve been shit for him seeing shit like Garcia getting picked in front of him. That said he knuckled down and didn’t kick off and worked his way back in.

We haven't conceded a goal with Stones on the pitch since the opening day of the season.

The real pity is that he has struggled for 2 seasons. Last season we could have done with the revitalised Stones when we were missing Laporte.
I am thinking Champions league in particular when we were having to play Garcia.
He was behind Fernandinho, Garcia and Otamendi towards the end if the season.
Not sure why but if he was doing them what he is doing now we'd have been nearer to Liverpool on the league and maybe but closer to a Championd keague or F A cup finsl

Not seen enough of other teams but Stones is the most in-form player in our team.
If Pep sticks with him instead of messing him around he'll come good again, I have little doubt about that.

Ive watched plenty,but other than Dias running him close......i cant think of any better.Not seen enough of other teams but Stones is the most in-form player in our team.

Was he playing on the right of a back three yesterday? He seemed to pop up on the right wing a few times overlapping Cancelo
It certainly looked like a Stones - Dias - Aké a lot of the time. John’s a good enough player with the ball to do that when required

I won't lie I thought he was done for this season. Never been truly convinced of him as a player but so glad to be wrong. He's quite simply been colossal and both him and dias compliment each other so well. Hope this continues and he only grows in confidence from here on. Not sure how laporte will feel but atm he's a clear 3rd choice behind them two
