Such a classy player. Great block at the end of the first half too.
So solid defensively, integral to our build-up play, showed real leadership in supporting the academy boys around him... I'm beyond pleased with the version of him we've got right now. He's been incredibly professional this season and hasn't let being in and out of the starting line-up affect his performances.
Going to get a bit more game time while Ruben's injured, I hope he uses it to make his case for being a starter.

He needs to play regularly,it brings the best out of him and that very much means an elite defender.
He and Dias are our best partnership,its a shame Laporte needs to be kept happy.

Agree. For me Stones is the best footballer and Dias the best leader.Best overall defender at the club if you ask me.
Together they compliment each other perfectly.
Stones and Laporte are also a solid combination.
Stones for me is the key, in either partnership

Looks immense, he is getting better and better, still have a feeling he is a bit fragile, hope he stays fit we have 3 world class CBs and I like ake as well

watch this, he wins an awful amount of header, compared to the player we signed he’s 10 times better.

Can we call him a Rolls Royce yet? Apparently you can gloss over Van Dijk's mistakes and keep calling him a Rolls Royce, so why not with Sir John?
