He’s consistently been world class for a few years now. He doesn’t seem to get the plaudits though - he should be considered one of the best in Europe

Still find it insane that this guy isn't regularly talked about as being one of the best centre-backs in Europe. I wouldn't swap him for anyone else.

It's partly that but it's probably more to do with the amount of games he plays or rather doesn't play. If he could stay consistently fit I think he would get more recognition. Unfortunately the only season he's managed to do that was 2020/21.
