Doesn't get anywhere near the credit he deserves outside of City fans and those within the club.

I thought he was brilliant today.
He just looks so calm and comfortable and oozes confidence.
With every game he's getting better and better and we look so stronger when he's playing.

For a guy who spent his formative years as a CB, he doesn't look at all out of place when he moves up alongside Rodri. The fella just oozes class.

We are so much better with him in the side. Defensively outstanding, on the ball brilliantly manipulative to get room for himself and others. Absolutely everywhere and enables Rodri the space to attack where he is equally brilliant. Fantastic player who should be seen as one of England's greats but probably won't be. Not one of Terry, Wio, or Campbell could play in the middle like he does. Not one of them could play alongside Maguire and still form a pretty solid back line.

Gutted that he's 29 already. I know he could still have 5 more top seasons with us easily but that doesn't feel like enough. He is the only man in the world who can play both CB and CM as well as he can, and surely one of very few ever.

‘That style of play is unique to John Stones. There’s not another centre back who can play like that in the world.’ He said.

Always liked Joleon like him even more now!! ;-) However he only speaks the truth about JB. :-)

IF he could stay injury free for a season he could well become the best footballer in the world, he makes the game look simple.
