Nonsense, this would mean any of Pep's tactical decisions were beyond reproach. Who does know Peps reason for starting him and thus is allowed to potentially criticise?
They are beyond reproach. He’s fucking earnt that right.
They may or nay not work or have repercussions that hindsight points out but to be able to make those decisions? Yeah, dead right.
Tomblue not being happy rates cery low on my notgiveafuckometor.

It's not hindsight to maintain that Stones's game time should have been carefully managed and since he wasn't really needed for this game , might it not have been better given his injury record to have given him a full weeks rest before the Chelsea game?
Were we really that desperate to have him as cover for Rodri's role?
Could have just as easily pulled up in the 5min on Sunday and everyone would be losing their heads. If he can't play two games in a week then it is getting close to the the time where he is no good to us.
Southgate overplaying him in his first meaningful minutes of the season cannot have helped Stones. Wish Stones would have declared himself unavailable for England and been eased back by Pep much more slowly.
Extremely unlikely but we can all hope that this "injury" has been masterminded to keep him away from these England games and he starts against liverpool.

Do you know Pep's reasons to start him last night? Probably not. It doesn't make sense to criticize Pep for things you lack enough information about. Questioning Pep on such matters is really pointless.
Agree! Im fine with criticizing Pep but this is one area where I don’t really feel like we can - unless someone happens to be on the medical staff. Because otherwise we really don’t have the information!

Comsidering the development in sports science it’s amazing there isn’t more evidence around this type of thing. I think tech advances/scans in next decade or so will be able to identify percentage chance of injuries to main muscles through over use.

It wasn't a tactical decision, and most criticisms of Pep's tactical decisions are daft anyway.

Just because he might have pulled up in a game in which he would have been selected ( Chelsea) is not an argument for playing him in a game in which he shouldn't have been selected ( Young Boys).
Think about it.

He should be available for any game at any time. Why shouldn't he be selected in a CL group stage game.

Nonsense to treat him having to be wrapped in cotton wool in case he gets hurt.

His injury record suggests he needs looking after mate, he's not one of those players that can play game after game. He clearly needs his minutes carefully managed.
