This lad definitely makes Dias a better player. He’s all over the place when he’s not at the side of him.
This is really unfair to Dias. Stones was here 5 years before Dias, and he never looked close to the player he's been with Dias. Both complement each other, Dias is better at organization, leadership and decision making, Stones is faster, better with the ball and in buildup and movements.

Also, let's not forget that City was in a defensive crisis until Dias arrived, and since then City has been the best defensive team in Europe.

John always had the potential to be a top class ball playing centre half. That's why Pep brought him here. There was always a lot of crap spoke about how many mistakes he had made, especially when he came to City, they were willing him to fail. Dick heads like Gary Neville telling everybody that Harry Maguire was England's best defender and nonsense about how John shouldn't have been in the side. Now that opinion hasn't aged well has it.

Stones has also kicked on massively from the player he was when Dias arrived. To the point now where he’s much more important to our team than Dias. When Stones doesn’t play we massively miss him. When Dias doesn’t play it’s not such a big loss to the team. In fact it’s now at the point where Dias needs Stones as opposed to vice versa
