Last season we were a mess defensively, until Dias came back from injury. Stones is just visually more appealing. People overrate Stones too much, it seems as he was as important as Rodri, when they are not even in the same tier.Stones has also kicked on massively from the player he was when Dias arrived. To the point now where he’s much more important to our team than Dias. When Stones doesn’t play we massively miss him. When Dias doesn’t play it’s not such a big loss to the team. In fact it’s now at the point where Dias needs Stones as opposed to vice versa
Both quality but BM has a rule it seems where to praise one player has to be followed by criticism of another.Last season we were a mess defensively, until Dias came back from injury. As soon as Dias plays, we are way more organized and solid defensively. I would even argue he is the second most important player after Rodri (with a significant difference though). Stones would come with KDB, Haaland and maybe Ederson, Bernardo.
Love Stonesy but he was shit tonight. Gave the ball away, overran it and tackled nooneGood to see him back. However, I fail to understand how he was suddenly fit enough to play the whole match tonight but wasn’t fit enough to play out even just the end of the game on Sunday, which would have arguably given us the anchor to win the match. Yet another strange decision.
Looked rustier than the Forth Bridge. Only the second time he’s managed 90 minutes this season. Will look better alongside Rodri.Love Stonesy but he was shit tonight. Gave the ball away, overran it and tackled noone
