5th Round - confirmed Sunday 4pm kick off

The FA Cup has so much more heart than the CL. Sad days, if we have to field a weakened squad. That said, I'd back them to the mountains for a win. It is all about how they play after all
 
Im failing to see what the fuss is about im afraid.

Its always the same and when as a club we want to fight it out on 4 fronts all season, the games are going to come thick and fast and there is no pint moaning about it imo.

The club makes a call and either goes for it in the cup or we go all out for the CL and take a risk with the FA cup and play a weakened side its that simple.

To be fair, I don't think anyone's complaining about the fixture pile-up. It's more to do with the Chelsea game being switched to the Sunday evening, when everybody assumed that it would be the Saturday teatime slot.
Also, because UEFA stagger the Last 16 Fixtures, there isn't any room in the Fixture Calendar for a replay.
Fatigue won't be a problem because City will play a weakened team at Stamford Bridge.

Expecting players to play a game late Sunday afternoon then take a long flight to Moscow without proper recover to play a game Wednesday evening, is what the fuss is about The football authorities in England and the broadcasters, in this case the nation non-commercial one, don't give a dam for the players, fans or the clubs. Too many games in too short a time to fit in meaningless international fixtures also doesn't help. I think the club should learn from this and play a B team in the League Cup from now on and many even the same in the FAC, we need to prioritise the PL And ECL.
 
Do you have to name a squad for the FA Cup? If not, then play the kids, and send the EDS manager with them. Any City fans who go should have their ticket price reimbursed by the club.

Get Pellegrini, Kompany, Zab and Kolarov (he's a scary fella) to get the young lads together - Pellegrini to explain why we're doing it, then get him out of the room and leave it to the other three to motivate the youngsters. Let them know it's their chance to shine.

Then, on the day of the match (kick off time) fly the first team out to the CL game - plenty of prep time.

Thats exctly what needs to happen imo but then the fans have to realse that and not have a meltdown if and when the kids get beat which they will at times.
 
Strongest team against Chelsea and a defence minded side against Kiev.

A draw in the Ukraine will be a good result for us and I'd expect us to turn them over at home.

If we successfully get through this hurdle and then see the likes of Vinny, Mangala, Bony, Navas and De Brunye all return the sky is the limit this season.
 
I shall be driving down to Chelsea on the Sunday and then I will de driving back after the match.
I will then be getting up at 0410am on Tuesday morning to get the plane to Kiev.
After vasts amounts of beer,I will be getting back into Manchester at 2300hrs on Thursday night.
I will be up for work on Friday at 0630 am.
On the Sunday I will be getting the 0815 train to London for the Carling cup final
After the match I will be getting the 2151 train back to Manchester,that gets in at 0050
I will be up at 0630 on Monday to go to work
I wont be looked after like the team,I wont be travelling privately,I wont be put up in first class accomodation
Do you feel sorry for me ?
