Hypothetically, would we be playing on the Sunday if either us or Chelsea were playing CL the following Tuesday? I wouldn't gave thought so.So the recovery period is the same now as if we'd been in Kiev on Tuesday night and been playing on Saturday.
There needs to be some basic ground rules established for the authorities and TV companies around this issue. For example:
1. If either team is playing away in CL in the following week a switch of the domestic game to Sunday cannot happen.
2. If either side plays any game on Wednesday, the weekend game cannot be switched to Friday
Two examples as clubs all deserve the same level of protection as certain other clubs get by default.
Make these rules or conditions at the start of the season and there will be no room for complaint.

Yeah its a shite situation, but this is something you have to just accept if you're in all 4 competitions.
I'd much prefer the CL than the FA cup this season so i'd personally play the kids on sunday the our strongest team for the week.
No point in moaning about it as there is naff all we can do to change it!

I shall be driving down to Chelsea on the Sunday and then I will de driving back after the match.
I will then be getting up at 0410am on Tuesday morning to get the plane to Kiev.
After vasts amounts of beer,I will be getting back into Manchester at 2300hrs on Thursday night.
I will be up for work on Friday at 0630 am.
On the Sunday I will be getting the 0815 train to London for the Carling cup final
After the match I will be getting the 2151 train back to Manchester,that gets in at 0050
I will be up at 0630 on Monday to go to work
I wont be looked after like the team,I wont be travelling privately,I wont be put up in first class accomodation

I dont get the lets blame Chelsea posts on here, both clubs would have asked to play the game to suit them, there's also the fact the police have a major say in fixtures, Fulham are also at home, so two games in Fulham would never happen on the same day, why should Fulham be asked to move their fixture? a fixture that has been set since June, their forum would be full of posts about PL bigwigs bullying the smaller clubs to suit their own agenda(though obviously we all understand regards our CL games)

Any news on ticket prices / allocation yet?
Love City to do this but we all know they wontDo you have to name a squad for the FA Cup? If not, then play the kids, and send the EDS manager with them. Any City fans who go should have their ticket price reimbursed by the club.
Get Pellegrini, Kompany, Zab and Kolarov (he's a scary fella) to get the young lads together - Pellegrini to explain why we're doing it, then get him out of the room and leave it to the other three to motivate the youngsters. Let them know it's their chance to shine.
Then, on the day of the match (kick off time) fly the first team out to the CL game - plenty of prep time.

Enjoy it, I wish I had the money to do the same but right now it's the Cup Final alone out of those 3 games.
