5th Round - confirmed Sunday 4pm kick off

I was responding to a post saying the "league has gone" with 13 games, more than a third of the season left, if you can't see why that is stupid then you must be stupid too.

Course it's stupid and whilst I appreciate it's a funny season you must also see peoples opinion that the league is gone. We haven't been beaten we have been battered many many times this season. As much as I hope we can do it the fact we haven't won two league games on the trot in months is hardly title winning form.

Nope, not with a third of the season to go I don't.

More bullshit, I'll give you three an include Stoke away, so long as you take off Spurs, when but for 3 dodgy decisions (and host of missed simple chances) we'd have been 2-0 or 3-0 in front at half time, with the game (probably) won.

I wont take off losing 4-1 at Spurs no despite the decisions. Up until this season the most we have lost by in years is 2 goals, we have been outplayed too many times, Stoke could of been 4 or 5. Liverpool, Spurs, Stoke, Leicester, pathetic at Villa Arsenal etc. Again by your thinking you're right and there is plenty to play for but I like many think you cant underperform as poorly as we have and think we will be in the mixer at the end. We still need to go to Chelsea and Liverpool where we have truly awful records at too.

Like I said I like your optimism I really wish I could be but my viewpoint isn't altered by how many games are left and it being mathematically possible more by our own performances.

Like I said I like your optimism
As I said it isn't optimism, read some of my other posts, you might actually learn something.

With 1/3 of the season to go, I'm not quite willing to write it off.

Anyway back to the FAC 5th round thread.

I'd give that up, and play the EDS, because for me we have been royally shafted by the FA, and we should shaft them and the BBC back. I won't be going, and I won't be watching it either. F**k them both.

If Balotelli's "Why Always Me" hadn't gone in and Johnny Evans hadn't been sent off and the rags hadn't been chasing the game, the 6-1 at the swamp could have been a draw.

Mathematically, the scum could win it, but even they have written themselves off and arguably they are playing better than us right now. Actually there's no arguably about it. They are.

FFS, how is it gone ? Beat Spurs on Sunday and we could well be only 3 behind the leaders.
I said " Now that the league has gone ( in practice if not in theory)" - you missed out the bit in brackets.
What I meant was even if we were to beat Spurs on Sunday and who knows get within three points of Leicester , do you honestly think we will go on to beat Dippers away , Chavs away, rags at home, arse at home etc. given our injuries and the tactical awareness of our management team?

I read hundreds of posts similar to this in 2012 and again in 2014 when we won the league both times and in far worse positions than we are now. Clearly if we have your mentality and many others then I would agree the league is gone. Fortunately many don't and I sure as he'll hope the players and management don't

I certainly don't believe when push comes to shove that Leicester will have the nerve to get over the line when it comes to crunch time, particularly when they have the rags, Everton and Chelsea in the last 3 games.
