Beat defender in the league.
The match may have gone very differently if not for his calm, cool, collected approach to defending 1v1 situations.
He had a few he sniffed out but that is the exact situation I had in mind when I wrote that post.Him and Dias are different class currently,Stones not far behind.
You are right about the one on ones.....particularly the situation created by KDB's abysmal piece of play towards the end of the first half.

Soton score there and the game is very different. Perhaps we still win—as poking the beast hasn’t exactly worked with us most of the time this season—but he made sure we didn’t have to come from behind by keeping his head and playing what looked a very tentative player in to making a mistake.
As someone may or may not have said once, battle is won or lost in the six inches between your ears, and right now I wouldn’t trade the bits between his for any other defender’s in the league.
Totally agreeBeat defender in the league.

Gvardiol will play Left centre half, Dias back to the right side and Akanji as backup. Stones and Rico at RB.I don't understand why we need go after Gvardiol, especially at the price. Hes just going to replace Laporte and spend more time on the bench.
Is Dias more effective on the left though compared to the right?Gvardiol will play Left centre half, Dias back to the right side and Akanji as backup. Stones and Rico at RB.
