6 Nations 2014

Gaz I would be the worst in the world to say Wales dont have a classy team. They do. They didnt preform this weekend but there still a classy team. They will still have a chance for the championship. Its too close with France , Ireland , Wales and England as all teams can and will beat each other. Ireland so far so good. I cant complain not yet to concede a try yet in the tournament. 2 home games granted but still positives. Not giving away many pens as well.

Line outs are working well Toner and O Connell are a good pairing and compete on all throws which is great to see. Granted the backs havnt sparkled yet for Ireland but then again our 2 wingers wouldnt normally be first choice when you look at who is missing out Zebo , Fitzgerald , Earls and Bowe from injuries if all were fit then the 2 wingers that were playing this weekend wouldnt be near the team. So when you think of the attacking players were missing on the wings to come back hopefully Zebo and Fitzgerald its a selection that will be hard to make as Fitzgerald has been the best winger this season for over here at club level.

The England game will be great to watch. I think the pack whos the best pack will dominate the game. Irelands pack are strong at the moment in the lineout and scrum it seems a better Irish pack than before. England over the years have always had a strong pack so it will be good to see how far the Irish pack has come. If Ireland get good quick ball we will cause England all sorts of troble and likewise for England. Who has the better defensive backs?? Thats were the game will be won or lost for me. Our centres of BOD and Darcy has seen it all and done it all experienced but are they still able to give it there all as the games come quick and fast??

This English pack is the best it's been for years, absolutely brutal and disciplined with it too. The pack will get us in the game, it's just whether the backs are good enough to get the points on the board and I don't think anyone can say that with certainty, there's too many new faces.

I think now is the time to bring in new faces for all the teams. I look at Ireland and there are a few new caps which is good. The best time to do it. Come world cup year these players will have 20 tests under there belts which wont be too bad at the time the world cup comes round.

I agree, I just meant it's hard to predict how effective they'll be when 4 of our backs have about 18 caps between them

can't see it, one or two may stay in but the likes of Tuilagi will surely have to come back in, I don't think we have a demonstrably natural finisher and it showed in the Scotland game because imo the Southern Hemisphere teams would have scored 4 or 5 tries against them, we got 2, and there was just too much short passing and not enough fluid back movement and spreading the play for me, there are promising players there but there are also a couple who would have been given a shot who also got injured, so this is far from the England team we'll see in 2015 imo, but it's testament to the back-ups that they are good enough to hold their own in the 6 Nations.

Tuilagi has played on the wing plenty of times at club level, he's incredible but he'd hardly add creativity to the midfield, that's what Twelvetrees is in there for. I suspect there will be 3 changes at most for the World Cup starting 15. I feel sorry for Wade who seems to get an injury every time an international comes along.

Tuilagi's the trump card for me and has to play when he's back fit, not sure the wingers will stay in but at least Brown has demonstrated some use going forward finally, in terms of the pack well they're doing a good job so it'll be tough for the likes of Croft to get back in when back from injury, it's great we have so many options though, really bodes well, if we could have snuck North and Halfpenny across the border in time some years ago we'd be laughing.

Okay guys Bents late goal saved my weekend :-) The question is would Wales throw the French game to screw England ( all this agenda stuff on the bluemoon foum ) I do not think so, as far as i am concerned this one is about pride and the championship is still there to be won, with a bit of luck ;-)

Leighton, thats brought a tear to my eye. Haha , good luck against England they will not turn the ball over like Wales did and on form will win their own line out ball and give little away. I did like you,re comment about BOD and Darcy, been there seen it, could be in you favour.

Thats what I mean Gaz they have the experience on there side but its nice to have the youth there to. I am guessing all those English centres are looking at our 2 and saying these 2 are past there best and finished. IF they do think that they might be shocked. The 2 work brilliant together in defence. You would have 1 tackling and the other going in for the ball like against the Welsh gone and thats a strong pint.
