Well I am happy. A great Irish win over a classy Welsh team. I think it was the first time that Welsh team got beaten by 20 points in 83 test games. Ireland destroyed the Welsh in the pack. We didn't move the ball around as much as we could of but a gameplan is a gameplan. I think we will go to the England game on a huge high 2 back to back wins against Scotland and Wales and no trys conceded is a huge high point. I think a good performance against England and if we win it sets up a 6 Nations decider against the French if we lose the game then were still in with a chance. I think the Welsh in the next game will be hurting and will want to prove a point and show they are better than that. Ireland aren't giving away many penalties this year so the improvement is there for all to see.
Our pack today was brilliant won us the game. O Connell a captains performance. Peter O Mahoney strong in the breakdown and turned over possession time and time again. BOD done well in the tackle as did Darcy in the centres. BOD I don't know how he stayed on the pitch as he looked out when the hit came in. Ireland v England should be a good game cant wait for it. Not a good day for City with dropped points but for Ireland it was nice to see us strong all over.

Good solid performance for Ireland, impressive win.

Think this will be a close one, Ireland's test will be playing away.. If this 6 nations proves on thing this year so far it's all these northern hemisphere teams are all looking good for the world cup next year.

Well it was no classic, however a very easy win for the men in green from 1 to 15 by far the better team and Sexton had a stormer. Leighton whats that crap " classy welsh team " we were below average at best, so say we were shite and rub the salt in because thats what I would have done :-)
Most on here know the basics of the game if you control the ball you should do okay' if you hand over possession on the first , second phase on a regular basis you get hammered like Wales and scotland.

Ireland got the lead and shut you down nicely, Sexton controlled the game briliantly, even if it wasn't the most entertaining watch. Wales were very poor though. Another cracking performance from O'Mahony, shame he's got a footballers mouth on him though, lucky to not go in the bin.

I fear for the Scots, as bluemooner Brian Moore was saying, there's no excuse for the set piece being horrendous, you'd see a better lineout at most clubs. I like the look of England's new backs though, much more involved than we've had previously; Tuilagi, Twelvetrees and Burrell look like a decent set of centre's and it's been a while since we've been able to say that.

I'd confidently expect England to dismantle the Irish at Twickenham. Why? Because it's England's first home game, knowing another defeat sets them back in their World Cup preparation - and, as I say, the Irish are full of giddy-talk again.
It'd be great for the game (regarding the future of the Heineken Cup and a discrediting of that dreadfully unwatchable, attritional rugby that's ruined the Premiership, I mean) if Ireland did dish out a proper spanking to the English but it simply won't happen, particularly if this mad weather prevails for another fortnight. As much as I find this English team to be occasionally arrogant and their rugby to be devoid of fun, I must admit that they are good at what they do; very good, in fact.

I would seriously give Hook another go at 10. Priestland for all his effort just hasn't got the rugby brain required to run a game. Even though he is a ST holder at the swamp we badly need Jonathan Foxy Davies back at center too. Underwhelmed by Jamie Roberts.

Mike Phillips is an absolute twat, fed up of him throwing his toys out of the pram and starting fights every 5 minutes. His histrionics after their final try was embarrassing to say the least.

Wales look a shadow of the team that won the title last year with an impressive win against us in the final game, Ireland were way too good for them this weekend and to be fair they did not win any of the battles from start to finish, I don't think Ireland did anything special, they just played pressure rugby and Wales had no answer. Im expecting a different Welsh team at HQ in a few weeks time though, same 15 players but with a different mentality. The only thing I can say about the England Scotland game was that the pitch was a disgrace and spoiled what could have been a much better game.

Gaz I would be the worst in the world to say Wales dont have a classy team. They do. They didnt preform this weekend but there still a classy team. They will still have a chance for the championship. Its too close with France , Ireland , Wales and England as all teams can and will beat each other. Ireland so far so good. I cant complain not yet to concede a try yet in the tournament. 2 home games granted but still positives. Not giving away many pens as well.

Line outs are working well Toner and O Connell are a good pairing and compete on all throws which is great to see. Granted the backs havnt sparkled yet for Ireland but then again our 2 wingers wouldnt normally be first choice when you look at who is missing out Zebo , Fitzgerald , Earls and Bowe from injuries if all were fit then the 2 wingers that were playing this weekend wouldnt be near the team. So when you think of the attacking players were missing on the wings to come back hopefully Zebo and Fitzgerald its a selection that will be hard to make as Fitzgerald has been the best winger this season for over here at club level.

The England game will be great to watch. I think the pack whos the best pack will dominate the game. Irelands pack are strong at the moment in the lineout and scrum it seems a better Irish pack than before. England over the years have always had a strong pack so it will be good to see how far the Irish pack has come. If Ireland get good quick ball we will cause England all sorts of troble and likewise for England. Who has the better defensive backs?? Thats were the game will be won or lost for me. Our centres of BOD and Darcy has seen it all and done it all experienced but are they still able to give it there all as the games come quick and fast??
