Yes England done extremely well in the game no doubting it. I thought with 10 minutes to go England would of held onto the win. Its going to be the closest championship for years. I would love to see Ireland winning it for BOD but that never happens. He will be 1 player Ireland and World Rugby will miss by far 1 of the best centres ever.

I agree, BOD is up there with the best ever, if not the best. The way the fixtures this season, this could go down to the last game again, cant see any team winning the slam though to be honest.
I do see Ireland beating Wales next weekend but I can also see England beating both at HQ.. Looking forward to it all, Im in Rome for the last game so I am hoping that game is the decider for us.

Should be good going to Rome for the game. Saying that the Italians are getting the odd win here and there over the big teams so it wont be a easy game. Gone are the days of a team beating Italy by 20 to 30 points these days they are a lot closer to the others.

True and they're at home to Scotland this year too. I think they have a good chance in that one.

Agreed, Italy are a good team, England are the only 6 nation team they have not beaten yet, that day will come though for sure, if England have nothing to play for by the time we get to Rome they could shock us, however I expect us to be in with a shout and record another victory over them. Good luck this weekend, hope you win.

So the media are stirring things up for the clash in Dublin, what grudge match ? So Gatland went with Robers and Davies in the last test down under, did we win ? So a good call by the coach, a slight to BOD, I do not think so. Bod is and was a great player I just hope the press get over this and we see a great game. I just hope Wales win, bet Leighton has a different outcome, but no one wants to see a brawl settled by penalty kicks.

Well it should be a classic game. All the games between Ireland and Wales are always good tight games. Both teams can attack well and at pace. Trys and more Trys I predict. I think it could well be a 5 point game to either team by the end of it. A few good things for Ireland Paul O Connell and Gordon Darcy are back in the teams. Shame Luke Fitzgerald misses out. So at the centres were strong but might be a bit slow with Darcy and BOD but creative.

As for the stirring things up I dont think the players read too much into this Grudge Match bullshit. The players on both side knows each other games inside out. Yes for BOD he might well produce a high standard preformance as if to comfirm to all that he is still the player he always was and to show Gatland that he still has it. Gatland stuck with his go to men in the Lions last test. He was proved right it was a major call and it worked out.

As for the match home advantage means nothing traditionally but I hope we get the win. A score prediction 27 to 22 to Ireland. Runs for cover.

O'Connell has been poor for a good few years now, must be getting games based on his captaincy and lineout. He's so slow and I'm not sure I've seen him make any yards. Darcy being back is great news though as that fella you had at the weekend was useless.

I wouldnt say O Connell was poor been injured granted. I think what he adds to the pack and leadership is huge to this Irish team. Not many Irish pack players would make that much yards when Sean O Brien and Jamie Heaslip are the main yards earners in the pack for the last few years. They are to go to men. Now with O Brien out its Heaslip , Cian Healy and the 2 flankers who will try and make the yards. Always thought 4 and 5 in the packs never really were big yard gainers for most teams.

As for Marshall hes a young lad only 22 so theres plenty of room for improvement. He will be our starter when BOD and Darcy call it a day. I just think bringing him in slowly we will get the benefit from him when BOD does retire. Our centres are going to change and it will happen next 6 Nations going into the World Cup. Think Fitzgerald or Bowe could well be tried as a centre in the next few years.

I fancy Ireland to beat us this weekend but O'Brien is a big loss for Ireland. Heaslip will do the show pony stuff again but will miss O'Brien doing all his work.
All the grudge stuff is daft, BOD has been a fine player but is nowhere near his best anymore and Gatland was right to drop him for the Lions.
Ireland win by 8pts

Now then Blue deep breath "Hea whald fy nhadau " feel the pride, there is only one winner, gods team, that is why we are blessed!

Just on the way back from Murrayfield. England totally dominant and Scotland lucky to get 0. Great atmosphere there, everyone has a good time with no hassle. Having a real laugh on the train with a group of George lads who have managed to lose one of their mates in Edinburgh. Their mate has missed the train and is kicking off on the phone and the whole carriage is in hysterics. It's like a Geordie version of a Bob Newhart sketch.

Well I am happy. A great Irish win over a classy Welsh team. I think it was the first time that Welsh team got beaten by 20 points in 83 test games. Ireland destroyed the Welsh in the pack. We didn't move the ball around as much as we could of but a gameplan is a gameplan. I think we will go to the England game on a huge high 2 back to back wins against Scotland and Wales and no trys conceded is a huge high point. I think a good performance against England and if we win it sets up a 6 Nations decider against the French if we lose the game then were still in with a chance. I think the Welsh in the next game will be hurting and will want to prove a point and show they are better than that. Ireland aren't giving away many penalties this year so the improvement is there for all to see.
Our pack today was brilliant won us the game. O Connell a captains performance. Peter O Mahoney strong in the breakdown and turned over possession time and time again. BOD done well in the tackle as did Darcy in the centres. BOD I don't know how he stayed on the pitch as he looked out when the hit came in. Ireland v England should be a good game cant wait for it. Not a good day for City with dropped points but for Ireland it was nice to see us strong all over.
