Why would it not be serious? He's clearly a bad apple and has been since his first year here, if we were contemplating moving him on in January then a replacement should have been sourced, it hasnt been and leaves us going into the business end of the season with a fucking awful left back and a couple of centre halves that can do a job there
Yeah clearly he has been a problem since he arrived hence racking up 100+ apps and several titles, playing a key role in all of it.

How easy do you think it is to move on someone on huge wages at nearly 29 years old. Never mind the financial turmoil that everyone except the premier league is in. I doubt there was many clubs across Europe, with a majority of them that barely have 100 euros to put together seemed that attractive.
Someone with the CV of Cancelo isn't going to go and play for Villareal is he.

Pep doesn't want a replacement, surely that is obvious by now to anyone considering he hasn't purchased a LB in several seasons.

Ake is doing more than a "job". He has played majority of his career as cb, now hes having a change, why cant he play that position?
No one played Cancelo at LB till Pep and then he turned into one of the best in the business before it went sour.
