We had a few strong characters over the last ten years - Vinnie, Nige, Killer Kollers!I think this is where we miss that one strong character who isn't afraid of confrontation like Fernandinho.

Who else at City is with Mendes?Same agent, however.
Difference being, Bernie accepts City's stance and loves the fans.
I'm not sure he will be that bothered, Bernie knows the times are a changing at City and we are going big time this summer.
£300m big!
Nor do I, and I trust you. I like AR too, and not cuz he's a (half) Yank.I like him as a player and someone we have looked at ages ago. Don't know who that Twitter source is, however.
Honestly I had rather Bernie be off than stay. He has been a broken record about leaving and whatever he has been saying to the media definitely doesn't help with the morale of the squad.
All of our Portuguese contingent are with Gestifute (along with Ederson).Who else at City is with Mendes?
What’s that got to do with Cancelo?Just having a look at the biggest transfers. Now of course I should have known this — and I did know that they've generally spent big — but I'm stupefied to see that the rags account for no less than five of the highest transfers in the PL out of eight.
Stupefied on two counts: a) that they're not a lot better than they are and b) that they get a total free pass on it from the British media, whereas no opportunity is lost to talk about how much we spend all the bleeding time…
Not really that old school though. Now if you'd said Glyn Pardoe... :)
He performed in last seasons title run in
What’s that got to do with Cancelo?
Haha, had a feeling you’d got threads mixed up, easily done.Nothing actually. Got it mixed up with the Fernandez story. Read both of them together more or less back to back. No probs…
Cancelo tried to take out a few players in training with some stupid fucking tackles, all because his bottom lip was quivering.
He's got an opinion that everyone in the dressing room needs to hear, it brings down the entire mood in the dressing room.
He was the most passive-aggressive person at the club, all dazzling white teeth but the first to talk shit.
Nor do I, and I trust you. I like AR too, and not cuz he's a (half) Yank.
So's Cancelo. Never mattered to pepHe's a right back.
I agree, the here and now does count; which is why losing a player of his experience when we've got a fight on our hands in the second half of the season is lunacy. The reality is, when both are on song, Cancelo is a superior fullback to Ake. Would Cancelo have played his way back into form? We'll never know now. But we've just lost the one player who had legitimate stardust and big game experience in a position where we are laughably weak. To top it off, we've bent over backwards like a bunch of soft arses to accommodate Bayern, a team we'll likely meet in the CL.You said he's our best LB, he's clearly not as we can only go off this season. What anyone did last season or the season before or when Paul Power or Willie Donachie were our LBs is immaterial. Only here and now counts.
Worked with a fair few, can be quite arrogant and aloofHe's the type of slapped arse who will probably tick the entire City bingo card when he is totally free of our clutches, which will delight many.
I don't know what Portuguese players are drinking at the moment, but they have been moaning sods a lot of them.
Do we link Phil’s injury to a challenge from Cancelo then, that also resulted in the square up?
Net spend!Bellingham will be half of that!
