7 | Omar Marmoush - 2025/26

I get people saying look at Mahrez, Sane, etc their first year here and how long it took them to adapt to Pep's system, but there are massive differences between Marmoush and those two.

Sane was a 20-21 year old who was incredibly raw but you could see the talent and that what he really needed was refining to become the player he ended up becoming for us. Marmoush is 26, going on 27. The likely hood that he is going to develop the necessary tools at this point is very minimal.

Mahrez was a case of him just having to learn the system and play our way. You could still see the talent and quality of him and what he had to do was just understand the system better. Marmoush seems to have this problem as well but you then compound it with the technical flaws in his game, I am just not sure he will be able to figure both out.

In both Mahrez and Sane's cases by the end of their first seasons you could begin to see they were starting to figure it out. Marmoush looks more like a case of, I don't know if he has the quality to play here, and I don't know if he will be able to develop it at this stage of his career.

Kvara wasn't available. And Marmoush is a fine prospect.

Both of them moved in the same window
For the similar transfer fee & wages

All what was needed is to convince the player that the premier league us better than the French

I like him but a lot of his actions V Spurs were really poor. Also, he’s never a centre forward

I don’t know where he’s going to play long term but, despite Saturday, he is one of the few players we have who know where the net is

The player wanted to go to PSG and PSG and him worked together to ger out of Italy. He wasn't open to any move.

Again Marmoush is a fine prospect. A quick look at his production the last 2 years suggest he is holding up just fine against even Kvara.

Who admittedly I think is a superior player. But he wasn't available to us

How did you come to this conclusion? :)

Marmoush scores more goals than Kvara doesn't he? I remember Ashley Young having a world beating season at the rags but that didn't last long.

Marmoush is doing fine once he beds into his role he'll do even better.
You do know that kvara has been more consistent over the years than Marmoush ? He is literally the top LW in the world currently. Marmoush had top half series last season when former already made a name 2 seasons before that. We needed both to be honest.

Marmoush has scored more goals, it's tight but he has scored more goals, and more importantly more over the last 2 seasons.

Congratulations for him scoring more goals when he literally played as a striker while kvara is a winger. Marmoush also scored more than Vinicius, so? No one will say he is the better player.
If it comes to the LW position they are leagues apart. Marmoush best position doesn’t exist in our system. So his full potential might never be reached here.
Meanwhile the Georgian is an actual winger. Doubt he would’ve failed the first touch during the Cherki pass. Marmoush would’ve been through if he got that

Why is Marmoush being compared to wingers? He played striker in Eintracht and he isn´t a winger and shouldn´t play there in my opinion.

Good, we need players to score goals not provide because we have players who can do that. Marmoush can play as a left winger or a main striker so he's versatile.

I am not saying kvara is shit all I am saying is that he isn't better than Marmoush.
