A part of his game i highlighted where he could do better, along with others.....but you crack on Big Blue.
It’s okay to highlight a side of his game where he needs to improve but to say you do not rate him or that he is not good enough especially seeing that he is the second highest scorer under Pep (correct me if I’m wrong here) is a bit too much imo. Add to that the fact that he is doing this from wide attacking positions makes your criticism all the more unfair.

I said a while ago that we need to play him into form considering that he is the most dangerous of our attackers and slowly and gradually, he is getting his mojo back. The least you can do is encourage him to do better but it seems like you want him to fail to prove a point.

Sterling is ridiculously strong for his size, has been since he was a 17 year old breaking through at liverpool - remeber the gif of him going shoulder to shoulder with Kompany? Vinny probably had 25kg on him.

If we had as rabid a fanbase as Liverpool someone would have made a compilation of 50 times he's done that at City.

As for not going in for 50/50's...I really don't care. He makes lots of defensive actions - interceptions, nipping the ball away from players, getting back to help crowd someone out.

Maybe not going in for every 50/50 is why he's healthy enough to be able to play 227 games for Pep in 4 1/2 seasons and 40 England games on top.

By next week, I expect FantasyIreland will accuse Raheem of not being quick enough and swear blind that Grealish is twice as fast.

To add on, Pep has also praised Sterling for his physicality. There were a few games Sterling won fouls just by holding up the ball. Lad is way stronger than he looks.

Raz finally getting back to close to his City best. Fantastic performance. He delivers so much when he's playing well not just on the ball but off it as well. Think the captaincy he keeps getting has helped him to rediscover his form a little too.

This little exchange sums up the enigmatic brilliance of the lad.

Sterling can be as frustrating as FFS at times but only because we know just how good he is when on form. I think he has been better recently and operating at about 80% of his ceiling.

I wish we had more players who frustrated their way to the number of goals/goal contributions that Raz has! :)

Carragher talked about how strong he was in training and how it's near impossible to barge him off the ball and that was at a time when Carragher was doing just about everything he could to avoid praising Sterling.

I've seen 6'5", 15 stone Yerry Mina do everything he could to bully Raheem and climb all over the back of him only for Sterling to give Mina a piggy back through the centre circle with the ball still at his feet.

For all the criticisms levelled at Sterling, being physically weak is probably the most laughable. Pound for pound, he's almost certainly the strongest in the squad.

Yeah, thought he was excellent yesterday. Gave Davies a torrid time in particular when he was on the right. Seems to be thriving on the captaincy, as you say. Great that he’s getting back to his best at such a crucial point in the season.

Absolutely. The haters on here have no idea what this lad does for our team in terms of movement. We struggle to create a many chances without him no matter what kind of form he is on. He had Davies on toast yesterday and brilliantly set up gunda for the second, yet a certain regular poster and Raheem hater on here claimed he was poor! That’s just embarrassing
