Influence? Your question was about his strength, and I already told you that I've seen Sterling bully players much bigger than him.

The problem was in your wording, you didn't mean strength, you meant in his challenges (or tackles) which is what I said.

Sterling is a winger, I'm not too concerned about his "tackling" tbh, he runs back to defend and puts in a challenge when he needs to even if he is not a master at "tackling".

You change the goal posts on Sterling too much, that's why some posters are calling you biased, you complain about such small things about him, yet won't praise the many good moments he had in this game, why?

Sterling had a better game than Foden, are you giving Foden this flack too? No, I don't see it in his thread, giving me and others more "evidence" that you really just don't like Sterling.

If anybody is weak here it's your "mentality" towards Sterling and some of our other players, not Sterling himself.

Reading what you want to read again.

I will always, praise players when appropriate as I did today,so stop making shit up to suit your attack.

Foden didn't have a great game, but neither was it bad,and neither was he worse The difference between the two is that it's unusual for Phil.

The complaints about Sterling are in no way small either, they affect our entire play.Im hard on him because he can do better.

Hey, listen, everything you said right here, perfectly shows your bias against Sterling.

Remember how this was about you saying Sterling doesn't have "strength". That's the main point I ridiculed.

Strength takes many forms,as I have already explained, and you refuse to acknowledge,to suit your argument.

Sterling can do so much better, its odd you and others won't see that.

What other reason is there for his lack of ability to win 50/50's? And I'm not just talking physically.

Are you really trying to argue that it's fair to criticise a small, pacy goalscoring forward for apparently not being strong enough in the tackle? It's not even close to his job to be good at that. It's like saying Dias is great but he just lacks composure in front of goal.

Sterling is ridiculously strong for his size, has been since he was a 17 year old breaking through at liverpool - remeber the gif of him going shoulder to shoulder with Kompany? Vinny probably had 25kg on him.

If we had as rabid a fanbase as Liverpool someone would have made a compilation of 50 times he's done that at City.

As for not going in for 50/50's...I really don't care. He makes lots of defensive actions - interceptions, nipping the ball away from players, getting back to help crowd someone out.

Maybe not going in for every 50/50 is why he's healthy enough to be able to play 227 games for Pep in 4 1/2 seasons and 40 England games on top.
