Another game against Spurs, and another debate about Raheem Sterling.
This tme its about ,apprently, his strength in the tackle.wtf??
The lads strength of character is ,imo,a far more important issue.
A few seasons back, two hours before k.o at The Etihad..against Spurs..Raheem was violently attacked by some idiot .This attack was both physical and mental. Our players right foot was targeted, his mother and child the subject of verbal death threats, and racial abuse thrown in.
.The offender eventually received a custodial sentence.
What does our player do?
Line up against Spurs, that very same day ..score two goals, put in a Man of the Match performance..and refuse to react ,during the game
When his England " colleagues" Harry Kane and Dele Ale both crunched into violent challenges on Raheem, when both must have known about the attack on the player prior to the match...thanks lads.
Thats strength of character ,a sign of steel,a sign of a very strong minded Professional Footballer..
But hey..he doesnt win enough 50/50 challenges....never mind the fact he is practically the first name on the team sheet ,week in week out for the best manager in the world.......
YCNMIU.
Its ok,and rationale to say he wasnt at his best yesterday,...its plain stupid to pick fault with an area of his game which is not relevant for an attacking forward.
It would appear 'Lockdown Fever' is affecting a few on here.
Next debate...Sergio Augero doesn't make enough defensive goal line clearances.
