Absolutely moreMore than ffs ?
he plays in a attacking team , half he’s goals have been taps in m8, most players in his position in this team would score 50 a season.
Noone in the history of English top flight football has ever scored that many in a season yet that's the bar that's been set for him to be considered a success. No wonder you don't rate him.
Whenever he goes off the boil slightly people seem to totally write him off.
He's clearly not been at his best so far this season but I thought he had a decent game against Olympiakos.
if you go through my history of posts I’ve been one of his biggest fans on here , just don’t think he’s kicked on to get to that elite level , he’s plateaued
Your point is completely flawed.he plays in a attacking team , half he’s goals have been taps in m8, most players in his position in this team would score 50 a season.
Put salah mane son in his place they would score more then 20 a season m8
The old tap in argument. Basically anyone who uses that stick to beat a player knows next to nothing about football. A forward is judged on goals and if they put up large numbers of goals which bar Messi and Ronaldo, Sterling currently does as well as any wide forward in the last 10 years or so and most of them are tap ins that would equate to a great forward.
it simply points to Sterling being massively effective in his job more than the other way around.
If you put yourself in lots of positions to score easy goals you are more use and more effective to a player that does not and scores 10 worldies Per season.
END OF DISCUSSION.
Haha! Of course that's what's happening. All those having a go at him are exactly the same posters who have been made to look stupid over the last 3 years after saying he's not good enough.I get the feeling that some people have spent the last three years sharpening their knives.
He's been an integral part of the team and we'll be much better off as soon as he hits form again.
Your point is completely flawed.
Why does Pep continue to play him?
He has scored more than 20, for the past 3 seasons.
If it’s that easy to score 50 goals a season, why have only players like Lewandoski, Messi and Ronaldo managed it in the last few years?
Why hasn’t Aguero managed more than 33 in this team then? If Sterling’s so shit for not doing it.
Yes, Ahhh the tap in argument. It’s a shit argument and it’s been taken down time and time again.
So, apart from all of that. Yeah, he’s shit and any other player would score 50 a season for us. Especially those who have never scored 50 a season in their professional careers.
