he's at the stage of his career where foden was around a year younger than palmer right now i'd say

Cole Palmer is already a Premier League player after watching him for the past few years it's obvious, sometimes I look at talents like Smith-Rowe at Arsenal who looks promising in his own right, then look at Palmer and think he's already better I don't like jumping the gun but I'd be very surprised if Cole Palmer never plays for England.

He's ready now for the Prem he just needs patience and he'll be an important squad member for the foreseeable future, no need for loan moves to teams who play inferior football he learns far more training with world class players every single day.

Can't wait for him to get game time with Phil even if it takes time and for other kids to start coming through, it's gonna happen at some point we're gonna have our own blumasia In the next decade it's the master plan.... Along with some world class additions I think half the squad will be homegrown by 2030.

The next star off the academy production line , he didnt look out of place against Bruge and scored a lovely goal , if we can keep Pep for another 3/4 years our academy players are going to form the nucleus of our team at this rate.Just bringing one academy player in a seaosn is going to save us millions in the transfer market , the great thing about Foden& Palmer is they are boyhood blues and support the club , so they are not going to get their heads turned by football agents.

It's worth remembering that we don't need Palmer to be Foden for him to be a world class player. Mahrez doesn't have Foden's ceiling and never has IMO, yet he literally won PFA player of the year once and is one of the best wingers in world football. I'm not even sure Grealish does have that ceiling either. Yet if Palmer reaches either Grealish or Mahrez's level, which I personally feel he has the potential to do, then we've just made a £100m player from the academy, which is fucking wonderful.

This. Foden is a benchmark but an obscenely high one. Foden is a £200m player.
