Whatever happens he will end up having a very good career as a footballer.

Just needs refinement in the final third which I think will only occur if he goes on loan and plays regularly. Also playing for a team that you can make the odd risk and reward move and mistake.

I do wonder if Vinny has his eye on him for a loan at Burnley.
I doubt Vinny will want Palmer as Benson is a much better player.

I'm not sure Palmer is good enough to be retained another season, loaned or sold. He has bags of skill but he needs hunger desire and focus to succeed at City and i don't know if he has enough right now. He played really well for half an hour so he'll probably start again or get minutes. But his minutes on the pitch are limited and several games earlier in the season he hardly made any impression and that's why he's not played much. Cole needs to really bust a gut and make a difference when given the chance because his days could be numbered here.

I reckon Vinnie might do well to not just rely on individual players next season. He needs a strong squad.

Several players they had this year were on loan and will need replacing.
I agree but Benson isn't a loan player. He's been excellent this season and will play most games next season, so I don't think Palmer will benefit being on loan there.

Interesting that Ally McCoist on TalkSPORT brekkie, is very impressed with him and that Cole reminds him of a young Chris Waddle with his running style …. some accolade that.
