Haaland grew 1 cm taller in the past year. I definitely didn't finish growing at 16-17 either.

It's not rare for people to grow after 17.
Haaland is clearly a genetic outlier.

He grew 0.5 cm since his last checkup at dortmund 2 years ago. This isnt much.

Yes some grow a bit until 18, but the growth beyond that is quite rare or miniscule.
Depends what age you hit puberty!

Growth charts show that majority of guys grow just a little after the ages of 18. In rare cases, some people may hit puberty in their late teens and continue to grow into their early twenties. The reason most guys stop growing at this age is because their growth plates fuse shortly after puberty.
Yes I generally agree with this.

Around 17 is when most hit there peak, any gains after that are small in the outliers who grow after that.

Those who hit puberty late I would consider as outliers as well, it is very rare for someone to grow past age 19, if they do, its something miniscule usually like 1 cm or less.

Anyways, the kid is nearly 18, main idea, this is basically his height, we shouldnt expect much growing.

Let's just hoping that Rico is offering something more even if his height is not growing anymore and become his weakness. His overall game should be much better and can accomodate his weakness.

Height is overrated in terms of physical development, people put too much into it.

He just needs to be stronger, faster and smarter. That's the development he needs. It doesn't matter if he doesn't get taller, and at 17 (turning 18 in a few months), he has likely reached his peak height.

Agree with this. Dani Alves did okay and won a trophy or two, despite being all of 5 feet 8.

Imagine if Seville hadn't taken a chance on him because of his height? Or Barca later on...

I thought he did well.He looked composed and confident and displayed great tenacity and intelligence on the ball.

At 17,the kid has a bright future.

So.....why not?
It was more about his positioning. He was metaphorically hugging our players that were nearest to him, and looked like he was lost at sea. I don't think we will be affording that luxury any time soon again.

Who was the kid who made his debut against united about 10 years ago? He got dropped in the deep end. I am struggling to remember his name. He put in a few top performances and then it all went down hill from there. We sold him a couple of years later. I think it was Mancini that brought him into the first team?

My point is, he seems to me like another one that will be bygones. I hope I am wrong by the way!

Think your talking out of your arse personally, righting off a 17yo chances based on a 15min cameo give your head a wobble.

He is playing where pep has tactically trained him to play! If he wasn’t doing what he was told to do do you think pep he picking him?
