Like the look of the kid. Honestly wouldn't have expected he is only 17.

Loved his attitude last night. Few crunching tackles to make himself known. Comfortable on the ball and slotted into the inverted role at times very well. Great defending to get back and make the block when Copenhagen got the run on us initially. All round a brilliant and composed performance. Shows how young players don't have to cost you points, their confidence can actually benefit the team. Great to see Pep give him and Wilson-Esbrand minutes.

I didn’t realise at the time that he’d stuck his boot out and stopped them from scoring. That was excellent defending.

The BBC interview showed he’s a great kid who is very mature for his age.

What a journey he’s been on from the under 8’s right through to the Champions League stage. His family and friends must be so proud of him. And the added bonus is that Pep clearly has a very good opinion of him.

Well done Rico. Keep it up!

Sticking his foot out was the right move, but I'll admit when I saw the ball loop in that arc off his foot my heart was in my throat.

Yeah arguably he could have been a bit stronger/quicker to react to the run initially but he stayed on his feet rather than diving in so was there to block the shot when their player cut back onto his right foot. Amazing journey, living our dreams. Great to see another academy player come through and a local lad too. Where's he from in Manchester? The Clayton Cafu? Stockport Iniesta, Salford Silva and the Mancunian Mahrez in Cole Palmer. Lovely stuff.
