Looking at him and the way he plays, I think he'll do what Kimmich did, start off at full back but eventually move inside.

I thought he was excellent last night and I think he now has given himself a chance to play more this season. Especially when Cancelo needs a rest.
I feel he has more attacking prowess than kimmich did at RB. However, that’s quite an observation…moving inside. Interesting.

Cancelo does need a rest. However, I’m sure Pep will be carful how handles him.

Need to grow physicallity by the nature of aging, also build up more muscles. then by two or three year later he will be ready.

Gives me serious Cafu and Lahm vibes for a mixture of his attributes mentality and versatility, reminds me of Cafu most in ability and the way he plays he's so versatilite so mature.

What people also need to remember is most fullbacks are bang average to terrible positionally or lack a good balance when first coming through, Rico seems way more advanced positionally than most youngsters he seems to have a great understanding and maturity beyond his years.

I was also thinking about how good Ashley Cole was during his prime years, before remembering he wasn't that great defensively or positionally when he broke through, he was quick and retained possession well but certainly not as positionally aware as Rico is when first breaking through... Ashley Cole wasn't as technical blessed either but adapted quick learning to play to his strengths, he later became a great man marker after seriously improving a lot positionally and defensively, by his mid to late 20s he was the best around but even aged 19 Ashley Cole is definitely behind where Rico currently is positionally, that may sound crazy with him already starting for England back then but England were desperate Chris Powell was the previous left back.

I honestly think if Rico Lewis is hungry enough he has the potential to do very great things with us and can see him being a future captain already, he still has to keep both feet firmly on the ground and carry on improving but all the ingredients are there for a long successful career here.
