I think this will be the season where we transition from Walker to Lewis as first choice RB. He looks ready, and deserves to be playing more regularly.

If there was a moment that suggested how highly Rico is rated it has to be when Pep hooked Walker at HT away at Chelsea in the treble season. Same venue just over 18 months later ....

Defences continue to be surprised by his ability to take the ball from midfield and drive toward the box at pace. Even when he’s done it twice in the game already, they just stand off and watch him go. Odd.

People seem to have forgotten just how good he was in the group stages of UCL last season. He led the team in almost every underlying metric, IIRC.

Really like Rico and felt he was one of our stand outs.

Not his fault at all, but he’s lack of height was a factor a couple of times and you can see Chelsea went for it at times.

You’ve got a few people in this thread saying he isn’t a RB. What proof is there to suggest he isn’t? He’s never been run ragged by a winger, but if he has been, Walker isn’t perfect.

He was brilliant again, i would much rather see him play ahead of Walker as he actually has a brain.
