It's not an experiement. We have no choice until either Ake, Akanji or Stones can return. Forest was the most likely line up to claw back somepoints but injuries have hampered that.

It's an experiment, same as the Garcia experiment, both nowhere near good enough, even when injured players return Pep will pick him to try and prove a point, it's killing us.

Pep won’t change. He has his favourites and that’s how he’s always been. Frustratingly. But it’s worked throughout his career so who are we to question.

But something needs to change.
If pep plans to use Lewis the same way(and Walker) for the next 2 group game we are 99% out of the group. It will hit the club financially and damage the winter transfer window. The owner needs to have a work with Pep now if Rico reverted is the plan then Pep better take a golf leave.

Trying to figure out what he did wrong tonight to get so much stick?
I thinks it’s not what he does wrong per se it’s just what we lack with him he’s ok on the ball and will move but he doesn’t create he’s not a good defender he just a bit easy to play round and sitting next to gundo who has no legs but is nearly double his age it’s just ending up as a massive hole in our midfield

Far from it. He benched Lewis vs Forest. Injuries to both Ake and Akanji have forced the issue.

The two final group games aren't until mid and late January. I don't think it's about getting players in January. It's about getting them in EARLY January.

He's not a ball winner
He's not a creator
He's not one to cover counter attacks
He's not a goal threat
He's doesn't dictate games

Yet he plays in positions in which being good at at least a couple of these would be massively beneficial to the team. So more a case of not really doing anything right rather than wrong all the time

I'm sorry but you're talking bollocks. There was literally no-one else who could have played LB tonight.

The amount of people blaming him for their second goal and not Walker is genuinely laughable. He blocked the first cross, and Walker still wasn't even 20 yards from getting to McKennie.
Kyle stood watching their player pick the rebound up and never moved toward him. Criminal

He's playing because we have three defensive injuries and forgot that people get old as time progresses.

It isn't his fault and nor is it Pep's.

It's fucking bizarre. Every thread I go on has posts singling him out.

Look at the second goal. Managed to get back and block the first cross. The second attempt got through but who the fuck was helping him?!

Walker on the other side shows up about 2 minutes after McKennie has read the paper and decided to put the ball in the net completely un-accosted.

Lewis is absolutely not the problem but half of our fanbase has decided he's the booboy.

I’d argue we’re 99% out already mate, to be honest.

Luckily we’ve got the CWC which will be a lovely income boost
