Behave mate, he’s not Walker, I’ve been critical of him.

Stealing a living and dreadful footballer is wild

He is stealing a living if he constantly looks inadequate. Wouldn’t play for any prem side bar perhaps Southampton, however, I would say Walker Peters is more accomplished, so yeah, stealing a living.

He did not play well. He was as shit as he always is, constantly out of position, jogging back, giving the ball away, and the non control on the non penalty was the chefs kiss on topping off another performance you would expect at the big top when the fair comes to town. Honestly he’s stealing a living. Dreadful footballer.
I guess everyone now knows it was Lewis who was shagging your wife, you've made it too obvious......or you just have an agenda....or are just clueless about football?

Lol. Shagging my wife? Are you 5? Clueless about football? And you think Lewis being anywhere near a team a club that aspires to win stuff is ok.

Tough position for him. Not robust or quick enough to play fullback and takes too long with the ball to play in the middle. Looks like he can only play when we have Rodri and Stones/Akanji to cover for him when he pushes to the edge of the opposing box which is where he looks sharpest.

Strange that, whilst not be being the greatest, imo Lewis does a decent enough job, an opinion that Pep seems to share by playing him? So maybe you thinking he "steals a living" and "is a dreadful player"......does pretty much sum up your knowledge of football ;)

I have always stuck up for Lewis…..but his performances this season have in the main been sub standard….(although he’s not alone)…..there was a 50/50 challenge (I looked at the scoreboard and it was around the 28 minute mark)…..he slightly pulled out of the tackle and the ball rebounded to a Palace player….we simply cannot afford to carry any player that does not commit fully…..his attributes are not such that he can get away from shirking physical challenges.

Pep playing him is a main reason why a lot of people want rid of Pep (which I strongly disagree with). Pep is only human, so can make mistakes and Ricos inclusion is the biggest one he has ever made as a manager.

Someone is on the wind-up. Good one.

Anyone whose first instinct after a 5-2 win is to go and slag off an academy graduate who had a decent game is just a bewilderment to me

No I’m a realist. Kev decided we were winning that game. If Kev had played his age like recent performances we would have lost imo. Therefore the problem still remains in my eyes.

Rico controlling it with his face is one of the funniest things I've ever seen and he should do it every game.

Really good on the ball and kept width. He was at fault for their goal but it was a group effort (Dias offside, too easy to pass out to the winger who had too much time etc).

Unnecessary counter-factual given we did win the game, though

Your opinion on whether Rico is good enough for City is at this point as thoroughly documented as Nigel Farage’s views on the EU. I thought maybe after a resounding win you might not feel the need to revisit those grievances and just enjoy the moment

I thought this game showed quite well what he’s good at. So many times in the second half he got the ball surrounded by 3/4 palace players and moved it on quickly to release the forwards and take Palaces midfield out of the game.

He’s never going to be the best defender but he’s a functional one in this system and when he bulks up a bit as he gets older I think he’s going to be a great midfielder.

So he wouldn’t get on the bench for any of the other 19 teams? By stealing a living, I’m assuming you mean he’s in the wrong game, any ideas on his next career? Plumber? Sparky? Chippy?

He’s neat and tidy and looks good in a team that’s playing well and winning easily but that’s a mirage.

He doesn’t have the vision or the athleticism or the touch to be a midfielder in a top team.

Some, most, kids don’t make it … Rico’s one of em
