Yeah, he’s had a couple of games like this when starting where he’s been like a ghost. Technical a very good player but seems to struggle to impose himself in a game
Yeah seems to be confidence, maybe our youth are overawed by city, pep, the intensity, because he is technically very good... feels like he will explode onto the scene but its just not happening and we're losing games he is playing in..

Not good enough for city, simple as. Should have cashed in for £20m or whatever was being talked about in Jan.

Can't see him getting too many more chances unless we draw another lower league side in the next round. His all round game isn't good enough at this moment in time and today he didn't get his usual goal contribution to cover it up.

He won’t make it here.

He’s one of those players who will pop up with goals here and there but it won’t be enough to cover him being invisible for most games. You can’t play in midfield in a Pep side and not be involved.

This is what I've alluded to constantly with him. He's got the talent to be here but he doesnt impact the game anywhere near enough. doesn't seem to have the personality or belief that he belongs here. Needs to be demanding the ball, having the confidence to step up and be the guy to do something. He won't get many chances and has to make an impression everytime, could be a long wait for another chance after that poor display.

Just too invisible in all his appearances.

Like, if he gets goals great, but everything else in his game is mediocre, and we cant have passengers next season.

Might be him or Echeverri next season, seems like Echeverri might win out.

I am NOT saying he wonbt make it, but if he goes its not as if he hasnt had enough chances, this is just like Palmer, game after game of meh performances with glimpses of what he can be if only he gets all the love and media attention (That Palmer got AFTER he left City).

You have to be able to do it whilst the media hate you and wont support you - Thats the standard that City players have to be at.

I don’t think he played well, but I also don’t see how he can get involved more playing in that position when Orient have 11 men behind the ball. Unless he starts dropping deep (which Pep wouldn’t want him to do) there’s absolutely no space in the centre of the park for him to move into. Where do people think he’s supposed to go?

There’s some truth to this but we face this every week. If he can’t operate in those spaces (or lack of) we will have to find someone who can.
