This one riles me a lot. The shite that a lot of our attacking midfielders have displayed this season, we have a lad who is starting to find his feet and impact games & we're letting him go. It's weird.

He will. Haaland will need to be rested or the potential damage further down the line will be even worse. That will necessitate a change of tactics and deployment in the remaining months, not for every game but for some.

Kev and Bernie will be gone next season, we are rebuilding the team.

You and Omar will be their replacements.

In the final 3rd in possession, we typically have a striker, a pure 10 behind the striker, with more of an 8/10 next to them as well.

Having those 3 players be some combo of:

Haaland (9)
Marmoush (9,10)
Foden (10, 8)
McAtee (9, 10)
Grealish (10, 8)

That's really good depth, those 5 players would play LOADS for 3 positions.

Then with Doku, Bobb and Savinho as the wingers, one could argue there is a bit of room there for McAtee and Grealish to get some wing minutes as well.

Anyone would have shot, he had the entire goal at his mercy from 12 yards. Not hitting the target was the mistake!

Why would you not shoot there?

To be fair the entire midfield and defence collapsed as well. Bit of stretch to blame that for the goal.

You could argue if savinho actually passed the ball we could have been 4-0 up…

We fell for it in the Feyenoord game and have done so again. I'd bet good money that Pep will bollock him for that. You can expect that had Grealish been on the pitch instead he wouldn't have taken that on.
Having said that I do like McAtee and hope that we keep him around after learning a lesson from it.

Every attacker we have would have attempted that shot in my opinion. He should have done better. The reason we drew though was because the entire midfield and defence collapsed.
