He clearly should have been booked for such recklessness, but somehow Andersen got away with headbutting poor Erling's foot like that.

Looking at the post-match press conference I have never seen Pep wax lyrical so much about a player. He was like a kid in a toy shop. He knows what all of us know, that Haaland will make the difference in the tight games against the tightest defences and that will catapult our club to another level. Imagine how good Erling will be when he is fully bedded in. He's already a global superstar at 22 and nowhere near his peak. These are amazing times for us City fans.

He seems to be everything we hoped.

What excites me is an interview I saw with Lewandowski last week and then his performance for Barca. His movement on his goals was superb and I am sure in no small part due to his coaching from Pep who he praised for making him think about the game in ways he didn't realise were possible. How much Pep could improve Haaland is going to be very interesting indeed.

Yep. That’s the exciting thing with Haaland. He still looks a bit raw at times but my god he has a knack of being in the right places. Superb movement and anticipation.

Love what we’ve seen of Alvarez so far but I still have to laugh that some blues actually predicted Alvarez to outshine Haaland this season. It’s Erling Haaland. The robot that scores over 1 goal on average in each 90 minutes that he plays.

It's a team. They can all outshine each other in different aspects of the game.
 
The thing is that playing a traditional number 9 role is very simple. You play mind games with the back 3, 4 or 5 all game and you wait. If there are two at the back it becomes a bit more complex and I always used to go to the wide left and hug the line when that happened. I used to score an enormous amount of goals from just playing a basic number 9 role. Some games, you would only see the ball a couple of times in the match. I am only 5ft 10 but i used to be bullied by two center backs at a corner, but i would push them in their back and move away at the right time. I should never have a right to score from a corner at 5ft 10. But I used to score headers and tap ins quite often stupidly often.

My point is, Erling Haaland does everything so basic, and very well. There is nothing complex about his game at all. It is all about being very disciplined and patient. It also helps being as strong as an ox and lightning acceleration though!
