I feel sorry for them on the 40 goal bet, could still happen and my fingers are crossed for each and everyone whose not cashed, but if it doesn’t blame Pep

The amount of times he’s take him off on 2 is astonishing, and quite frankly bemusing,it’s not all about him,I get it but come on man for fuck sakes,Pep scared of him overshadowing the team, has to be

The lad could be on over 40 now,and you all know it

The first touch for his second goal is everything he’s about. Just perfect, took out 2 defenders doing it then a confident finish to boot.

His link-up play is progressing all the time too.

Absolutely adore the bloke.

Not the manager’s responsibility to worry about the gambling market

It may be more a case of Pep managing his game time to the club's advantage. He's had a spell (two, was it?) out with injury this season. Pep was probably thinking about not wanting to risk an injury to key men in what was, AT THAT TIME, a dead game. He almost definitely had an eye on wednesday night and the game in two weeks' time. I doubt it has anything to do with Haaland overshadowing the team. But yes, I totally see where you're coming from re those who have money riding on Haaland reaching a particular milestone.

But like i just said to the other lad,for it to happen that many times this season is weird

The correct call in giving Haaland the second half off but still could have kept him on for another 15 minutes.

I don't think it's got anything to do with him overshadowing the team, Pep has spoken many times about how carefully Haaland needs to be managed. He could have scored a few more had he not been substituted as much but by the same token, he might have scored a lot less if he was picking up injuries. Also, today was a unique situation with it being 3-0 at HT and a massive game against Bayern in a few days. Alvarez deserves to play too.

The guy is unreal, i didnt think i could love a striker more than sergio but im afraid Erl is my new man crush. And just Imagine how many more he could score if Pep allowed him too stay on the pitch for longer than 45mins! :-)
