Really love this kid. I've been saying he looks a little tired recently, whether its mental or physical, probably both and Pep is trying to play him into form.

He's still only 22 and this is his most competitive season, i would rest him againts Brentford or give him the last 30mins.

I don't think he's tired, he had 6 weeks off for the world cup that no one else did, I think his form has just dropped off a little and also teams are getting more familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of his game, forcing him into playing as a target man which he's not great at yet.

He's definitely dropped off in front of goals in terms of efficiency, but that could flip back anytime.

He had 6 weeks off but since January his game has definitely changed slightly, more involved in the buildup and he's pressing better/more frequently.

I agree defenders are literally man marking him now but we're still creating 3/4 chances per game that he should be converting, you can see he's rushing his shots and/or overthinking them. He's scored 60+ goals this season so its not down to a lack of confidence or ability, it has to be fatigue, a mixture of mental and physical.

At Dortmund he's never been in a title race or reached the semi-final of UCL, that comes with added pressure especially when he's basically the star of the team, at 22 he keeps in good shape and will never ask for a break but its clear he's lacking sharpness.

I think it's just form. Some chances he's rushing, others he is taking too long over. He's lost a bit of that composure recently, which happens with strikers. He could have had three against Brighton, and should have done really. But whilst he didn't score, when he was played through again he decided to pass to Foden who did, which was a real positive from his game. Most strikers try to atone for their previous miss, but he had the mindset of not being bothered about that and making a smarter decision.

Good games for him to lose his scoring touch in. He's still getting a lot of chances and is a major threat. Hopefully it comes back to him for the two finals!

Wouldn't be worrying about Haaland

He's doing here pretty much what he's done everywhere, pretty much a goal per game ratio.

That doesn't mean literally a goal a game though. I'm sure everywhere he's been he's scored like 13 goals in 8 games and sometimes just a handful in the same amount of games at other periods.

The fact he has a ridiculous ratio means you can be certain goals are about to start coming when he's having a bit of a quieter spell.

People were saying earlier in the year teams were figuring him out around february and early march. Then he went on a rampage...

He's an elite goalscorer
