Oh hell no! Are we really doing this? When did he last score in open play?
The criticism goes both ways. He misstimed some runs, was off balance several times...everyone was poor today including himQuite rightly frustrated today - the service into him was very poor. He still made some excellent runs but too many of our players ignored an early pass - That being said 23 goals so far is outstanding so not a big issue.
Are we becoming the Erling Haaland team? It's like whenever he has a bad game, the whole team has a bad game. We can't be overly reliant on him. That's just not how we set up.
Far from alone today but he looked shocking disinterested at times.
Someone on a different thread said he was clearly unfit. But I disagree, and like you, I think he got zero service today. Kev having an absolute shocker didn’t help Erling one bit.I don’t think he had a single fucking ball played into space for one of the many runs he made today.
I don’t think he had a single fucking decent pass played to his feet that wasn’t too far ahead of him or too far behind or too slow or too hard.
I don’t think he had a single fucking cross played anywhere near him today.
The team let him down massively today.
Unfit - who says that? For their winner he bust a gut to sprint the length of the pitch to try and defend the cross - none of our defenders could be botheredSomeone on a different thread said he was clearly unfit. Every cross was either 10 yards in front of where it needed to be, or 5 yards above his head.
Bad day at the office all around, I’m sure he’ll be back on top form when the league resumes.
